Room of Swords

     Room of Swords is finally ending. It's a webtoon I've been following for quite a while so it's appropriate to tell you why it's worth the read.

     What initially drew me into this webtoon was the feel of am 8 bit video game with characters that seemed displaced out of time. The initial premise of the series is very video game-y. Find the boss, take their sword, escape before the omnious timer runs out. And the MUSIC! While season 2 lacked the iconic 8 bit soundtrack that was scattered throughout season 1, by the time you get that far you're already invested. The music is amazing and you can find them all on YouTube. But I'd wait until you get to the actual Boss Fights to hear them. 

     While it sounds simple, this webtoon will leave your head scratching. Every bit of it is planned out and there is foreshadowing around every corner. Along with actual shadows. This is an action adventure mystery and while the explanations can get confusing for you 3 dimensional beings, it still has enough action and romance to keep you interested.

     Oh the ROMANCE! I went in thinking this was like an Isekai romance with our main character Gyrus, getting a harem of beautiful woman and one dude. While the beginning has the trappings of a harem, it does not stay long and the comic commits to an actual relationship with its own ups and downs. 

     This webtoon earns the high marks and praise that are given to it. You will not regret picking it up if you haven't already.
